Here at the Blue Lagoon, we offer you our gorgeous sunset venue with spectacular views of the Nahoon River, quality and wonderful service guaranteeing you a stylish, elegant and memorable experience.

Location

The Blue Lagoon Hotel is situated on the banks of the Nahoon River and nestled in sub-tropical foliage. The River and Beach make ideal settings for your photographs, and its conveniently and easily accessible for your wedding party with our private beach access. The Sunset Function venue overlooks the picturesque lagoon, where the Nahoon River meets the warm Indian Ocean – We invite you to share this wonderful experience with us on your special day.

Capacity

A minimum of 50 paying persons is required and the maximum amount of guess that can be accommodated is 150 persons

Tables

Your guests will be seated at round tables of 8 / 10 persons per table. A rectangular table will be set up for you and your bridal party.

Linen

There is no charge for the use of our tablecloths and linen napkins available Colours are white and black You are welcome to bring in your own linen should you prefer an alternative colour scheme. White linen with elegant frill is provided for your bridal table.

Room Hire / Venue Hire

Sunset will be your Function Venue; round tables comes stranded but our venue is not limited to roundtables. The following comes standard with your venue: chairs, tablecloths, linen napkins (colours specified above), main table and cake table and matching white pleated frill, linen for buffet, gifts table, easel for seating plan, Waitrons and barstaff, large wooden dance floor, booth for DJ, cutlery, crockery, wine or champagne glasses, silver ice bucket, complimentary room for the bride and groom which includes a complimentary breakfast in our Highlander Restaurant. We clean the venue; you are required to collect your decorations the following day.

Menus

On request we will provide you with our buffet and set menu options and costings. We need at least 14 days’ notice for the menu and final number of your guests that we need to cater for. No left over food may be taken off the premises as this is company policy. We do not permit outside catering

Wedding Ceremony

Should you require a wedding ceremony on our premises, we can offer the swimming pool area. Wedding ceremony hire includes:

Chairs
Chair including white chair cover per person
Arch and podium
Carpet
Red carpet for Bridal Isle
Table for signing

Bar Service

We have full bar facilities available in the Sunset Function venue. We will run the bar as you prefer. We do not permit you to bring in your own alcohol. We provide each table with a silver ice bucket– no charge. We reserve the right to close the bar at 00h00 due to liquor law.

Welcome Drink

Welcome drinks may be served at our swimming pool area prior to bride / groom arrival or off our Sunset deck overlooking the Nahoon river.

Welcome canapés may be served at our swimming pool area prior to bride / groom arrival or off our Sunset deck overlooking the Nahoon river.

Wedding Night

We offer you a complimentary room on a bed and breakfast basis for the newlywed couple depending on availability at the time of reservation.

Deposit, Cancellations and Refunds

Once a reservation has been made, we will hold the venue for 48 hours without a deposit. We ask you for a 100% non-refundable deposit to secure the venue which is offset against your final account. Full prepayment is required one week prior to the function date. Refunds due will be paid within 45 days from receipt of a written request together with banking details.
